Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why China
China’s investment in Australia and New Zealand is booming, with the world’s second largest economy acting as the largest trading partner for both countries.

Strong Chinese interest in the Australian real estate market has become particularly noteworthy. Chinese investors now account for almost 80% of all foreign property buyers in Australia, with the Sydney and Melbourne markets garnering particular attention. Despite exponential growth in house prices in Australia, property is affordable when compared to the Chinese market, and remains a high-yielding investment for China’s rapidly growing millionaire class.

Australia and New Zealand are also benefitting from a Chinese tourism surge. China is on track to become Australia’s largest source of tourists by the middle of 2017, while the country is also New Zealand’s second largest short-term visitor market. The influx of Chinese travellers is undoubtedly stimulating interest in both countries’ real estate markets.

With such strong economic foundations in place and promising forecasts for the future, Australian and New Zealand businesses are well positioned to tap into the Chinese market and take their home-grown businesses to the world. They are thus urged to take advantage by applying for an exclusive space in the Australian and New Zealand Unlimited Expo in Guangzhou.

The Event
This highly anticipated event is expecting over 30,000 visitors across three days. Australia and New Zealand Unlimited will connect businesses with both targeted Chinese and global buyers, offering a unique opportunity to capitalise on the growth and transformation of Asia’s burgeoning economies.
